With 2013 only a few months away THQ are preparing for the launch of their next instalment of their post-apocalyptic game Metro: Last Light (trailer above), they have discounted Metro 2033 right down to a pretty reasonable £5.49. Reports indicate that the game will be available tomorrow (16th) so keep an eye out for that bargain!
While on the subject of Metro, it has been reported that the developers of Metro: Last Light have decided to concentrate on the single player campaign over anything else. “Right now we’re 100% focused on the single player campaign and not thinking beyond that,” 4A games told us on their blog on Friday (12th) “We don’t like throwing away work though, it’s a project we could potentially return to after Metro: Last Light ships.” they continued.
So players who enjoyed the MP on Metro 2033 may see it return in Metro: Last Light in the form of a DLC later down the line.
Personally I think more developers need to have this attitude, recently I’ve seen countless number of games fall into the trap of having a much better MP experience than single player, and quite often than not I’ve just jumped straight into the multiplayer games rather than continue the campaign.
