mohMedal of Honor: Warfighter (360/PS3/PC)

This game probably needs no introduction. It’s definitely a contender for Game of the Year, with its main rival being Black Ops 2. Developed by Danger Close and published by EA, the fourteenth instalment of Medal of Honor runs on DICE’s Frostbite 2 Engine, the same as Battlefield 3. The PC version only supports Windows Vista/7 and DirectX 10 & 11.

The main cause of interest for Warfighter is the multiplayer. Everyone knows what its about now, with the beta being released recently. The main thing in multiplayer are the multiple factions: Australian SASR, Bosnia & Herzegovina (Yet to be announced what force), Canadian JTF2, German KSK, Norwegian FSK, Polish GROM, Russian Spetsnaz, South Korean UDT/SEALs, Swedish SOG, British SAS and US SEALS, Delta Force and OGA (CIA). Every different nationality have their own specialities – you will just have to play it and find out! There is also deep customization for both player appearance and the players weapon.

This open-world game is based around a fictitious event set in Colorado, USA called the Horizon Festival. The aim of the game is to progress through the game by means of obtaining wristbands by driving fast, destroying property, winning races and other driving antics. It is set to feature the physics of Forza 4, which has been optimised to work on the 65 variants of terrain present in the game. While doing a point-to-point race, it has been revealed that one of them is going up against a biplane, with a picture confirming this, (It is a Ferrari F40 vs a biplane).

proflaytonProfessor Layton and The Miracle Mask (3DS)

Sigh. Yet another game that has been out in Asia for a year and a half, which means it must have done slightly well for it to still be exported over here after all this time. It sold 117,000 on the first day alone. The fifth game in the Professor Layton franchise has 150 built in puzzles, and over 360 downloadable over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. It is however, claimed that the game could make more use of the 3D element of the 3DS.
