We posted Devins first Assassin’s Creed Meets Parkour in Real Life a short while ago and since then it totally blew up, enough so that Ubisoft have been working with Devin to create another “Assassin’s Creed Meets Parkour in Real Life” to coincide with the release of Assassin’s Creed III. Devin and his team worked with Ubisoft to create the most accurate representation of the Assasin’s Creed franchise with Ubisoft providing footage and tools to get the shots more accurate.
This particular video took Devin and his team around three days to complete filming. There were two teams involved in the filming process, Ronnie, Devin, and his team, and a stunt crew who helped search out locations and perform the stunts themselves before letting Ronnie loose on the breath taking scenery. The video was filmed all over the Utah Valley and you can clearly see the amazing landscape that they had to work with!
The entire video was filmed on a Canon Mark III 5D that’s mounted on a Glidecam giving Devin the freedom to run along side Ronnie without that horrible camera shake.
My favourite scene is the part where Ronnie hooks the soldier with the rope and hangs him in the tree. In this particular scene the soldier was pulled up by a truck with the rope actually around his neck, he just held his own weight with his hands :\
A hell of a lot of work goes into each of Devin’s videos and you can see that it pays off! If you liked the video be sure to subscribe to his YouTube channel and keep an eye out for a Far Cry 3 video hopefully coming to our subscription boxes by the end of the year!
