As soon as GTA V was announced for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, PC gamers everywhere kicked up a fuss because there was no word on a PC release. Disgruntled PC gamers headed over to Change.org and started a petition “Rockstar: Release GTA V on PC.” that currently has just over 146,000 signatures.
Whether that made an impact we’re unsure, but what we’re sure about is the latest news that a PC version of GTA V has popped up on some European Amazon stores. The pre-order pages appear on the French, UK, and Germany Amazon stores. Though the UK and Germany listings appear to be completely separate from the Xbox 360 and PS3 listings, the French one isn’t leading us to believe that this may be real after all.
Rockstar still haven’t spoken out on the ‘leak’ so we’re all still scratching our heads wondering whether this is just an admin error or a legitimate listing.
We’ve had a fair few accidental Amazon pre-order pages popping up in the past that did turn out to be genuine, so hopefully for those of you who are waiting for a PC release of GTA V won’t have to wait much longer!
GTA V is currently scheduled for a “Spring 2013” release.
Update: The game did eventually launch for PC on April 14, 2015.
