Tales of Xillia Due To Be Released On PlayStation 3 This Year.Tales of Xillia is the 13th title in the ‘Tales of’ series and an exclusive to the PlayStation 3 platform. Tales of Xillia follows Jude Mathis, a medical student who’s attending school in the capital city. It also follows Milla Maxwell, a strange mysterious woman accompanied by four ‘unseen beings’.

Tales of Xillia is a popular RPG that’s been available in Japan since 2011, the game is set to be released internationally (hopefully) by the end of 2013. In this game players will be able to choose between Jude or Milla at the beginning of their adventure through the world of Rieze Maxia, where humans and spirits live together in harmony.  The kingdom of Rashugal has been experimenting with a powerful source that led to draining the mana from the world.  Realizing the harm it is inflicting, Jude and Milla set off on a journey to destroy it and restore the worlds mana.

If you didn’t think two storylines were enough though, there are a bunch of mini games throughout Rieze Maxia extending the gamep play even further

The game has many of the ‘Tales of’ series features such as the Dual Raid Linear Motion Battle System, a unique system that allows players to have the advantage in battle by using a Linked Combat System to ‘team up’ two characters to increase attack, defence and support. Players can also enjoy a more tactical battle by changing up the party members with backup characters during battle.

Once the gauge is filled to some extent, characters can perform special attacks called “Linked Artes” that change variously depending on the arte the controlled character uses.  Once the gauge is full, the player can perform Linked Artes combos  launching a huge attack on the opponent until the gauge becomes zero.

If you’re a fan of JRPG’s like Ni No Kuni, then you’ll surely love this title!
