The first bundle of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 Single Player DLC is heading to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Steam on Wednesday and is called Siberian Strike. Players can expect to find themselves in a huge open world isolated Siberian location. Players won’t be guided by spotters either and must rely on only the map to complete the missions tasked upon them.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is the only multi-platform first person shooter exclusively designed around the modern military sniper experience and it looks amazing. I’m yet to play it but from what I’ve seen of the gameplay footage it looks great.
In the Siberian Strike DLC that’ll be available to download for 800MS points, or £8.99 will throw players into the snow laden city of Birsovik, the Russian government established a top secret military installation focused on arms R&D. The game sees that American intelligence gets word that the facility shifted its focus recently to weapons of mass destruction and a CIA operative, M. Diaz is sent in undercover, posing as lab personnel, to uncover the truth. When he stops sending in reports, a search mission is quickly put together.
The player takes the role of Cole “Sandman” Anderson, a veteran special ops sniper, now in the ranks of Task 121 – a group put together to counter any WMD-hungry warlord’s whim in the Asia – Pacific region. players are ordered to locate Diaz’s GPS signal and assess the situation on the ground, then extract any intelligence he may have found.
The Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 Siberian Strike DLC is heading to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Steam on the 27th March.
