Developer Naughty Dog has been known for making some stunning games. One of the few complaints however has been the length of them. Well fear not, Naughty Dog have said that the campaign length for ‘The Last of Us’ will be the ‘longest ever’ that they have made.
To compare this to their past games, Uncharted and Jak, this is good news for you gamers who like a good story. Currently it stands at about 12 – 16 hours long depending on how you choose to play the game. Those looking to be stealthy, explore and scavenge will find themselves pushing the game length up to around 16 hours. The flexibility on how much content you explore is a great move by Naughty Dog as it allows you to play at your own pace.
In other news it has been said that DLC for The Last of Us will be multiplayer focused meaning that no single player content will be added after release. With that said, is a 12+ hour long single player a enough? Does the lack of post release story content matter?
The Last of Us is set to be one of the biggest releases of the year and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I’m the explorer type though, so the news of a long campaign is good news. What do you think? Leave a comment below.
The Last of Us is slated for release on May 7th for the PlayStation 3.
