According to some leaked details by Google Glass companion app, MyGlass, Google is working on a host of new features including an Android Game Center.
Android Police had a look through some APK files and found some hints towards this features. Features such as multiplayer options, notifications, in game chat, achievement tracking, leaderboards and much more. This hints towards Google looking to improve it’s turn bases and real time multiplayer gaming experience.
“It sounds like Google is going to take on multiplayer gaming in a big way. They’re developing a plug-in gaming service that handles every common multiplayer feature gamers have come to expect. Developers’ lives should get a whole lot easier, and multiplayer gaming on Android should get a whole lot better.” Ron Amadeo of Android Police
Google haven’t comments on the leak yet but their Google I/O developer conference is next month which means we may find out more then.
