HP the other day released a nice bit of hardware to the market in the form of the Slate 7. A 7-inch tablet running Android 4.1 ‘Jelly Bean’. The tablet which is being priced at around £129, comes with a rather nice set of specs.
The Slate 7 comes with a 1024×600 display, a dual-core 1.6 GHz chip, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. On top of that your get front and back facing cameras and Beats Audio.
The tablet doesn’t really stand out to much in the market. Being rather close to the Nexus 7 however you have to think about why HP even made this. Still at least this tablet is running Android rather then Web OS.
The Slate 7 is set to launch in the UK on May 1 at a jaw dropping price of £129 undercutting the Nexus 7 by around £30.
