Today over on the Bethesda Blog it was confirmed that the team who have been supporting Skyrim after release are finally moving on. Having spent the last year and a half on updates to Skyrim including patches, DLC, Creation Kit, Steam Workshop support and much more, it’s time for the team to move on.
“Skyrim has been a labor of love for us since we started designing it in 2006. We never imagined it would become the phenomenon it has. And that is because of you, the fans. It was all of you who made it a success. We can’t thank you enough for embracing the game, spreading the word, and making it your own.”
Though the blog posts points out that there will be minor updates to Skyrim from time to time. The large updates and additional content is finished. The team which have been handing the on going support and now needed to work full time on Bethesa’s next project. Here is to hoping it’s Fallout 4.
