The Adventures of Dash are one of the many projects that ex-Call of Duty developer, Robert Bowling has up his sleeve, or at least had up his sleeve. News came in via the game’s Kickstarter that it didn’t manage to raise the $400,000 that they required to put the game fully into development.
Robert Bowling and his new development team Robotoki hoped to launch The Adventures of Dash, a new 2D puzzler featuring Dash, a Scribblenauts style character with narcolepsy. When Dash falls in and out of sleep his dreams became new levels full of adventures. Each of these side scrolling adventures had the idea that a new artist was to take controlled of the art giving each level a new look and feel just like pur own dreams in real life.
Unfortunately though the Kickstarter for The Adventures of Dash fell short by quite a margin with only $33,121 raised of the $400,000 target.
The final update on the Kickstarter page had this to say:
“We know were not alone now in wanting to see this game come to life, and while we’re not entirely sure how we’re going to make that happen right now, we are going to do everything we can to keep the game alive.
We’ll need to put it on the back burner for now, while we focus on our main project Human Element, but we will be regrouping and exploring every option available to bring The Adventures of Dash to reality.”
So with that said, let’s end this piece on a high, you can head to the Kickstarter page and download the Adventures of Dash soundtrack for free! So even though The Adventures of Dash has been put aside for now, Robotoki are still working on their new multi-platform game with high ambitions to bring various styles of play on various different platforms that’s scheduled for release some time in 2015.
