snapchatleaked

snapchatleakedSnapchat, that app that let’s you send a picture and then shortly after it’s gone, has yet again run into some trouble. Over the last few months there has been a growing amount of evidence that points towards methods of being able to find the images even after there gone.

News today however of a whole website which has been set up to show off some of these pictures. Ones that it calls ‘secret’ and in fact are a whole range of sexual photos and is clearly NSFW. The website ‘Snapchat Leaked’ encourages users to send in pictures that they have been sent by using the app’s exploit methods. From here, it’s on onto the web where the whole world can see those images they hoped would never be seen again.

To add salt to the wound, a Facebook page has also surfaced about the leaks and though Facebook took down the first few, they continue to return. This all comes at a time where the safety of Snapchat is already being questioned enough as it is. This event could however be a seriously damaging blow on the app and it’s developers.

Snapchat is unable to do much about the issue at the current time. On the flip side, I’m sure they will be getting a lot more downloads after this.
