Just days after the unveil of the Xbox One, Ghost Games, formerly known as EA Gothenburg, announced the latest edition to the Need For Speed Series, with their new game, Need For Speed Rivals.

Rivals presents a whole new experience as well as 2 different campaigns. Players get to choose whether to play as the Rivals, a group of street racers, or the Police. Those who side with the Rivals earn points by evading the police, but as their notoriety increases, so does the cost of being caught. The Police on the other hand focus on catching the criminals, and are able to modify their Police vehicles with a variety or real world appliances that may stop the Rivals dead in their tracks.

The general gist of the game is that the people behind Need For Speed have recognised the love the fans have for the multiplayer game mode Cops v Robbers, which has been present in most of the games. Need For Speed Rivals brings that game play and thrill into a whole new single player experience.

And want to know the best part? Need For Speed Rivals will run on the Frostbite 3 engine (the greatest video game engine ever), meaning that cars will be prettier, sceneries will be crisper and the sounds will be unbelievable. The immersion levels couldn’t be higher right now!

You can pre-order the game now, and in doing so you’ll receive a DLC called the Ultimate Cop Pack, which allows players to get behind the wheel of a Nissan GTR Black Edition Cruiser, an incredible machine that’ll scare the pants off any Rival!

The game will be released on current generation consoles and the PC, as well as the PS4 and Xbox One. It will be released before the end of the year.
