First released on Nintendo 3DS in January 2012, Resident Evil Revelations received praise from critics. In typical Resident Evil fashion the game is obviously a survival horror, and at the end of the month it plans to come to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U. The Wii U version however has some interesting features to it which definitely catches my eye.
In the new trailer (above) for Resident Evil Revelations takes a closer look at the Wii U version of the game, including how the title supports Miiverse with two exclusive features. Not only can you play both on and off screen, you can display the games map on the GamePad to help you survive the onslaught of the weird undead. Not only that, the GamePad can be used to make the game feel more in depth giving you the chance to fiddle around with locks live on the GamePad’s touch screen.
There’s also another feature which I find quite cheesy and that’s the ability to add a voice to the infected undead via the Miiverse. It might ruin the tense atmosphere but it does look quite funny. There’s also the chance to leave a message after you’ve died for others who may fall the same fate.
Resident Evil Revelations will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U on May 24.
