For a while there’s been a rumour that the HTC One will be getting a “Senseless Version” which just like the recently revealed Samsung Galaxy S4 will be re-released with vanilla Android like that found on Google’s flagship Nexus devices.
The rumour this time comes from Geek.com‘s Russel Holly the very same person who revealed ahead of time that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition that’ll be coming without TouchWiz. The rumour, acording to multiple sources, is that the HTC One Google Edition is planning to launch in the next few weeks beginning with the US. The rumour is also backed up by a tweet sent by a HTC rep during the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition announcement. The tweet said that we could either buy the Galaxy S4 running stock Android or… “wait.” though HTC reacted quickly and took to their blogs to squash the rumour before it got too much momentum “HTC is not currently planning a ‘Nexus Edition’ of the HTC One.”
Only time will tell whether the rumours are true, more on this as/if it happens.
