Those of you who are keen to play Epic Mickey 2 on your PlayStation Vita won’t have to wait much longer as Sony have confirmed that the US release date of the Epic Mickey sequel is June 18 which means those of us in the UK can probably expect the game on the 19th but Sony are yet to confirm.
Announced in March, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is expected to come with new features and gameplay mechanics thanks to the PSVita’s hardware. “You’ll be able to control paint, thinner and Oswald’s electric beam using the touch screen, as well as use orientation-based controls for both the camera and while driving,” explains SCEA’s Don Mesa. That’s not all though, the touch screen can be used to instruct AI, as well as select, drag, and drop sketches, burst bubbles and projectiles, and navigate through menus.
Epic Mickey 2 first launched on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U and received an average of around 60/100 on Metacritic with the Wii U coming out on top which no doubt is due to the Wii U Gamepad and it’s involvement in the game.
