Assassin’s Creed is noted to have a very in depth history, there are tons of extras for die hard fans like myself to enjoy in the forms of short movies; novels; art books; video dev diary’s and even an encyclopedia. So it comes with no surprise that Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag will be getting some paper based bonus’ of it’s own!
Ubisoft do not mess about when it comes to Assassin’s Creed, they go all out, all the time. The novels all started after Assassin’s Creed II, form author Oliver Bowden who is now has 5 Assassin’s Creed novels behind him, you can bet that he’ll be responsible for the sixth installment. Like I said, the novels have given an insight into the AC Universe, sometimes from a different angle to its counterpart game or even just giving us more information on certain characters. The most recent novel for example follows Haytham Kenway before and during the Assassin’s Creed III time frame. The next novel will be released first in the UK on November 7th and then in North America November 26th and to be once again published by Penguin Books.
As with most games nowadays there will also be a strategy guide to run with Black Flag and will more than likely be available on release of the game or just a little after.
The Art of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag will be released 28th October and the first 500 hundred copies will come in a slip case and will also come with two signed, exclusive concept art prints. This showcase of art will come from Titan books so keep a close eye if you want to be one of the first 500!
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag will be released 1st November 2013 on Xbox 360, PS3 and is confirmed for both PS4 and Xbox One upon release.
