Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, the all kinds of crazy 1980’s throwback spin-off, has sold more than 500,000 copies in a impressive two months.
The colourful cyber-punk 1980’s spin-off launched as a standalone downloadable title for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 at the end of April.
Ubisoft boss, Yves Guillmot, said that it helped drive sales for Far Cry 3 in a recent interview with Games Industry International, adding that it also allows for “brand extensions”.
If you haven’t managed to play Blood Dragon yet, what are you doing? It released to critical success, featuring all the best bits of Far Cry 3, with a homage to films and video games of the 1980’s.
