What do you get if you took the voxel based graphics found in Minecraft and the currently in development Cube World and added first person shooter mechanics, helicopters, jet packs, and bomber planes? Well you’d probably get something like Guncraft.
It sounds a little far fetched right? Well check out the trailer above and then tell me how far fetched or awesome you think it looks. What makes Guncraft so special is that it’s a first person shooter that you create. The game as seen above contains fully destructible environments as well as the ability to construct individual blocks or full structures in a single click. A first person shooter wouldn’t be a first person shooter wthout tons of killstreak rewards such as helicopters, jetpacks, bunker buster missiles, drones, and turrets – right? As well as all of that, Guncraft offers a fully featured map creation tool that also features a voxel map importing function which uses the Substrate C# engine.
Exacto Game Studios are pleased to announce that Guncraft finally has a release date. On July 11 you’ll be able to purchase Guncraft on Desura, Green Man Gaming, Rain Digital Games, GamersGate and via the official Guncraft website.

It’s not all good news though as they’re still trying to get on Steam via their Greenlight campaign and you can help by clicking “yes”. It only takes a few minutes and you’ll be doing the gaming community a favour!
