Hideo Baba, lead producer on the Tales of games, announced the release of Tales of Symphonia Unisonant Pack at this years Tales of Festival. ToS Unisonant Pack will feature the original Tales of Symphonia with cross game costumes including ones from Tales of games released after Symphonia, and the Wii sequel; Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.
In a press release by Namco Bandai, Olivier Comte, Senior Vice-President at Namco Bandai Games Europe had this to say.
“As a response to fans’ expectations to bring more Tales of titles to the West, we are very proud to join our headquarters in Japan and our colleagues in the US to make a worldwide announcement for Tales of Symphonia™ Chronicles (Working Title)” “The Tales of series, which is already very successful in Japan, has been expanding greatly in the Western market, and we believe J-RPG fans will continue being pleased with this updated HD edition of two of the most classic Tales of games.”
The Tales of Symphonia Unisonant Pack will be out October 10th in Japan, and yes– it will be coming to the west in 2014! It’s late, but better then nothing. Japan will be receiving a couple different collectors edition of the game featuring items such as; a novella detailing the story linking the two Tales of Symphonia games together, what appears to be some figurines, and lastly all your goodies will be bundles in a variety of custom boxes.
I personally can not wait for this. I have many fond memories of the first Tales of Symphonia after picking it up on my 16th birthday, and spending literally my entire summer playing it.
Now if only we could get the enhanced Tales of Vesperia for PS3. Seriously, Hideo–give it to me.
