You know for sometime there was meme about how Nintendo products printed money? Well it seems that the role is now in Ubisofts ownership. In a recent talk with Kotaku, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed there are three Assassin’s Creed games currently in development.
“We are making sure the teams who are creating the different iterations have enough time—two years, three years, so that they can take risk and they can change the concept enough so that it can be appealing and fresh.” Yves Guillemot.
The news doesn’t really come as much of a shock to most however given that the latest title, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, which releases later this year. Is releasing only a year after the last title and its mobile tie in. The question we have to ask about these three games in development is do they include this years release and/or any of them mobile tie ins?
Though the series is trying it’s best to keep things fresh, that is clear, I do want to see more. Personally I would like to see the Vita title Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation get a bigger release and focus more on that games character and setting. Further more, if the games in development are all squeals to the current games rather then new spin offs can we have a Brotherhood 2 please? I liked Brotherhood.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag releases later this year setting players down in the Caribbean in what seems to be more of an island hoping game then an assassin’s creed game. None the less, let’s see how this series goes, shall we?
