Players of superhero fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us can expect new downloadable content next month, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced.

Two new game play elements will be made available for download in July, both of which are linked to the recently released box office hit Man of Steel, which if you’ve been living under a rock is a massive Superman reboot currently showing in theatres.

The first DLC is a new Man of Steel skin for the Superman character in the game and it will cost 80 Microsoft points from the Xbox LIVE® Marketplace or €2.99/£2.39 from the PlayStation®Network.

The second bit of content is a new playable character in the game and comes in the form of the main antagonist from the Man of Steel movie, Superman’s old enemy General Zod. The General Zod playable character will be available on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points and PlayStation®Network at a price of €4.99/£3.99.

The Superman skin is an interpretation from the aforementioned Legendary Pictures feature film, Man of Steel, whereas the playable General Zod will be developers NetherRealm Studios’ interpretation of the infamous DC Comics character.
