2K and Firaxis Games announced yesterday that the award winning title XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be making its way to iOS on June 20th. The list of supported devices is pretty vast too so you can be sure that you’ll most likely have a compatible device.
The game comes with a pretty hefty price tag though at $19.99 which roughly translates to around £13.99 for us Brits. The best news though is that it’s not a half arsed attempt at a port either. The iOS version is just about the same as its console and PC counterpart with a multiplayer game mode coming soon after the games release.
In terms of an Android and Windows phone release, a 2K Games rep told Engadget: “We’ve only announced plans for iOS devices at this time,”. More on this as it happens.
So get prepared to gather resources in an attempt to strike back at an alien race in this pretty awesome turn based combat game!
Complete list of supported iOS devices includes the iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5th Generation.
