A brief history of Ultron

Hmm I wonder why I could writing about Ultron? A brief history of Ultron It’s not like he could be part of the sequel to some kind of big superhero film perhaps? Something to do with a superhero team? Oh yeah! He’s just been announced as the main villain for the new movie: The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron.

So for all of you eager beavers out there who have probably noticed that Marvel have just wrapped up a comic series called Age of Ultron, just hold your horses. Buy it by all means but I don’t think this will give you the inside track with the film.

Age of Ultron is a continuity heavy story event using a lot of characters Marvel haven’t bought the rights back to yet.

So what is Ultron?

Well it’s starts with Avenger Henry Pym aka Antman and Giantman and numerous other identities experimenting with robotic life. Pym’s attempts to create a friendly robot failed and Ultron 1 hypnotised Pym into forgetting his creation.

Ultron fled and upgraded himself and decided all human life was inferior. He battled the Avengers on various occasions and contributed heavily to Pym’s depressive nature of creating on the Avengers most formidable foes.

Ultron could never be completely destroyed mostly because he could use any electronic device to eventually to rebuild himself. To help him with that task he spawned his own mechanical creations.

One was called Vision, he saw the error of his fathers way and joined the Avengers. The other one is a little stranger. Demonstrating he was more like his creator and humans then he’d like to admit.

He created a bride called Jocasta.

So just add to the strange he based Jocasta programming off Pym’s wife Janet Van Dyne, AKA the Wasp. Jocasta proved to be more like Janet than Ultron as she joined The Avengers.

It’s just rather sad that she’s in built with the programming to rebuild Ultron after his defeat. Ultron even added to the strange stakes when in one of incarnations he took on the appearance of Janet after her corrupted Iron Man’s armour.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set for a 2015 release.
