Half Life 3 “confirmation” was “bogus” says Valve.Last week we wrote that gaming site “No Shit Shurlock” had received confirmation from a Valve employee, more specifically John Guthrie, that Half Life 3 was coming. Valve has now made an official statement which states that the alleged confirmation was in fact “bogus”.

This was something I, and almost everyone else expected, but I held out hope, I wanted it to be real!

The “news” itself had been disregarded by most news sources which also lead me to believe that this wasn’t a legitimate “confirmation”. Valve themselves told CVG that the article is “bogus”. So if you’re a regular reader of NSS, be sure to take most of their confirmations with a pinch of salt.
