Info on the next Nexus 7 has been leaking like a poorly plumbed in sink over the past few weeks and the latest are juicier than ever. @evleaks are at it again with what appear to be official press shots of the new Nexus 7, and a BestBuy ad has been leaked also revealing details of the tablets price and release date.
The press shots don’t reveal much in the way of specs, but what they do show is more than enough to whet your whistle. This time the Nexus 7 comes with a nice looking camera in the back which is rumoured to have a 5 megapixel sensor as well as an offset front facing snapper. ASUS are still the manufacturers of this version and it’s suspected to come bundled with Android 4.3. There’s also what appears to be a notification LED located at the bottom much like the Nexus 4.
Along with the press images we’ve also seen a leaked BestBuy advert which features the new Nexus 7. The ad is apparently going to run next week with the device getting released on Tuesday (30th July). That’s not all that the ad reveals, it also states that the Nexus 7 will have a 1,920 x 1,200 display which will be priced at $229 for the 16GB model.
We’ll probably find out officially on Wednesday when Google are reportedly holding a press event featuring no other than Sundar Pichai, the man behind Chrome and Android. The event starts at 9AM PDT which is around 5PM UK time.
