EA showed off brand new information regarding the highly anticipated Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, which will launch in Spring 2014.
Plants vs Zombies is an incredibly popular series. Plants vs Zombies 2 was downloaded 16 million times in just 5 days, but despite these impressive statistics, Garden Warfare was what people wanted to see regarding PvZ during EA’s press conference at Gamescom.
EA announced a whole new Boss mode which will utilise Xbox Smartglass technology, allowing tablet owners to view use their devices as tactical maps and act as a field general against other players by controlling single units whilst using a 3rd person perspective. This was lead by a video featuring the main antagonist Dr Zombox, who details the game mode.
The game will also run using the Frostbite 3 engine (My favourite) and allow gamers to play as the zombies. Based on the videos released, there will be a variety of different classes to use as a means of besting your opponents.
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will launch in Spring 2014, shipping first on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. You can view the Boss mode trailer here!
