If you thought the success of Minecraft on the Xbox 360 would be short lived, think again. Since Mojang and 4J Studios took the game to retail, Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition has remained at the top of the charts for three weeks running. Even the highly anticipated Tales of Xillia which launched last week only came in at a measly 4th place.
The retail edition of Minecraft for the Xbox 360 is no different to the one available on the Xbox Live Market place but it’s clear that its success translates to retail as well as digital. Namco Bandai’s Tales of Xillia came into the charts at 4, with The Smurfs 2 in at 3, and FIFA13 going up to 2nd place, could Minecraft stay on top for another week?
