There are just hours left before this year’s WWE SummerSlam event in Los Angeles, and in SummerSlam Axxess tradition, the final roster for WWE2K14‘s ’30 Years of WrestleMania’ has been released by 2K Games as a follow-up to their gameplay teaser. Missed out? Not to worry – check it out right here.

Interestingly, there have been multiple reports of a supposed roster leak over at IGN UK, by some guy (who’s probably going on the end of a few swearies from the boss with a Vince McMahon-style “YOU’RE FIIIRED” to boot) who accidentally posted the roster a little too early before seeing it pulled. Unfortunately for said guy, the official roster included most of that which was leaked. So yep, that happened.

After 2K struggled to broadcast the stream for an eye-watering 38 minutes, Aubrey Sitterson and Bryan Williams apologised repeatedly and added to the feeling of time dragging along by babbling on about some stuff that everyone already knows about. As the producers in L.A. struggled to get things moving, tables were flipped, heads hit desks and grown men cried for an unnecessary length of time despite the Axxess buzz.

Finally, Jerry “The King” Lawler, good ol’ Jim Ross and WWE SuperStar Damien Sandow entered the squared circle and the hype picked up – despite J.R. confirming that the roster would not be fully revealed until a later date.

So without further ado, the definite, updated Superstar lineup for ’30 Years of WrestleMania’ includes…

  • Andre the Giant
  • Alberto del Rio
  • Batista
  • Big John Studd
  • Big Show/Big Show (Retro)
  • Bret “Hitman” Hart
  • Bork Laser Brock Lesnar/Brock Lesnar (Retro)

The wonderful Howard Finkel has also been confirmed as a ring announcer.

2K has already unveiled a portion of the modern roster, too, so far featuring…

  • Dolph Ziggler
  • Ryback
  • Darren Young
  • Daniel Bryan

Ric Flair also made a welcomed appearance to a beauteous chorus of “WOOOOO“s from Axxess attendees and fans across the globe with eyes glued to their computer screens. He resultantly drove the “Intellectual Saviour of the Masses”, Damien Sandow, out of the ring with another infamous verbal beatdown.

One more pre-SummerSlam show at 6:45PM PST (that’s 2:45AM GMT – have some coffee at the ready) will see the likes of Jim Ross, Ric Flair, Rey Mysterio, Dolph Ziggler, Mick Foley, Daniel Bryan, Paul Heyman and Stone Cold Steve Austin come together in a panel to discuss WWE2K14 and its development thus far. An audience with Stone Cold alone is enough to make anyone struggle to control their bladder.

A reminder; the full, finalised WWE2K14 roster has yet to be unveiled. When and where this will be happening remains to be seen.
