Some of you may remember a simpler, more birds eye view of hit game Grand Theft Auto. Some of you won’t remember it, don’t worry. It happened. During this birds eye view of GTA’s life there were two ‘mission packs’ made, ‘Grand Theft Auto: London, 1969 and Grand Theft Auto: London, 1961.
Dan Houser, Producer of Grand Theft Auto at Rockstar said “I think for us, my gut feeling is, GTA London was cool for the time, but games were more limited then,”. He also commented on a game set in the UK, saying “These days I think we would love to set a game in the UK, set in London, whatever, but I don’t know if it would be a GTA game. I think there are plenty of great stories we could tell about the UK, great environments to showcase, great gameplay mechanics that could have a UK bent to them – I just don’t think it would be a GTA necessarily.”
Rockstar are well noted for the time and effort they put into games, and fans always make speculation as to what they are going to do next, some of which vary from a Red Dead Redemption follow-up to even another LA Noire. I think for now though, Rockstar are going to let GTA V continue doing what it’s doing.
What would you like to see from Rockstar in the future? Where would you like to see Grand Theft Auto head to? As always let me know in the comments below!
