It has been announced by both Capcom and Sony that upcoming dungeon scroller, Deep Down, will be free-to-play on PS4.
The title, which seems to be a Role Playing Game set in a world of magic and dragons, is set to be a PS4 exclusive and should be set for Beta release in Japan at around the same time as the consoles hit the shelves over in the Pacific, which should be February 2014.
Capcom intially announced that the game will be free-to-play at a recent press conference, with Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida confirming the news Sony’s end with the Tweet shown below.
Capcom just announced that “deep down” will be a f2p game on PS4, planning open Beta near the launch of PS4 in Japan. @Yoshi_OnoChin

Deep Down will be procedurally generated, meaning that the layout of dungeons, as well as the items and monsters inside, will be randomly generated each time you play the game.
Apparently the game will be set in a 2094 New York City, however do not expect a futuristic shooter, as this looks more like a medieval action title based around suits of armour, swords and monsters.
The game is certainly an exciting one and Capcom announcing that it will be free-to-play will only increase the games appeal.
