Fans of the Boarderlands Series might be a bit disappointed to hear that the second instalment of the huge title might be sitting on the back burner for new DLC. Randy Pitchford stated that DLC for the title might not be on par with the first instalment of the series. Granted that it’s value will exceed the cost, at the same time gamers shouldn’t have high expectations for the content.

Pitchford also said that they are still building new things for the smash hit, but at the same time they are working on developing new titles. He also stated, “We are still spending energy building new things for Borderlands 2, but we are also building new things for the future,” he said. “We’re building some new things for next-generation consoles, we’re creating some new IP, we’ve got a lot of attention diverting to other efforts beyond Borderlands 2.”

The latest content for the title is Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2, and there doesn’t seem to be any new stuff in sight. And if there is, it doesn’t seem to be on the same level with the previous DLC for the first version of the game.

We all know that the developers are heavy hitters in the gaming universe , so whatever they do put on shelves will sure to be a smash. Lets just hope that Boarderlands 2 will not have a terrible fate of ending too soon. What they do have going on is Borderlands 2 Season Pass included four campaign-driven DLC packs as well as the first Ultimate Upgrade Pack which added a new difficulty setting alongside an increased level cap. Content released outside of the Season Pass also includes two additional character classes and a second level cap increasing upgrade pack.
