Developer DICE, best known for their work on the Battlefield franchise, have revealed that there are more than 15 games games in development powered by their Frostbite engine.
The games we know of are Battlefield 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Star Wars: Battlefront, Need for Speed Rivals, Mirrors Edge 2, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and the intriguing new Mass Effect game.
So that leaves eight more to be confirmed. Safe bets include a new Bad Company game and another Command & Conquer, but otherwise it’s something of a mystery.
It seems to be the engine’s “Mantle” technology that’s making it EA’s go-to engine right now. DICE’s Johan Andersson confirmed via twitter that once Battlefield 4 lands, the Mantle technology is “out of the box to use (in) the rest of our 15+ games”.
