Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag isn’t even out yet and already Ubisoft have announced the first DLC. Good Preparation or Money Tactics? You decide. But what I think we can agree on is that this is an awesome trailer, like absolutely brilliant. In my opinion it is anyway.
Not alot is known about Adewale, except that he is a former slave from Trinidad who escaped and joined Edward Kenway aboard the Jackdaw as the Quastermaster. Adewale has also been a great help to Edward in their past adventures, helping out where possible and being the voice of reason for the hot headed Pirate trained by Assassin’s. In Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, Adewale will point out certain thing in-game and you can choose to investigate or ignore them as you see fit. You are the Captain, after all.
The Freedom Cry DLC is set 15 years after the events of Black Flag and will see Adewale shipwrecked on the Island of Saint-Domingue. There will be nine missions where players will get to take control of now trained Assassin Adewale. Like Edward, he is covered in Tattoos and each of his literally tell a story in the above trailer. Adewale looks to be a pretty powerful character who uses the likes of a Machete and Rifle to kill all that stand in his way and of course a Hidden Blade!
Freedom Cry will be part of the Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Season Pass, offering a 20% discount if you were to buy each DLC separate. Also included in the Season Pass is additional single player missions, collectibles, weapons and multiplayer characters. If your unsure of what these extras will be, just look at any special edition for the game and it’ll be that (Why I keep buying special editions, I’ll never know. This happens every time). The DLC is expected to have a March 2014 release date, which will give us all plenty of time to enjoy the high seas.
There is no UK price for the Season Pass yet, but it is priced at €19.99, so you can have a rough estimate. The Season Pass will be available on launch for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One as well as PC. It’s not confirmed if it will make its way toward the Wii U yet though. Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is released November 1st and then 22nd November for PC, WiiU, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
