It has been revealed by VentureBeat’s rundown of the DualShock 4 controller for the PS4 that the face buttons on the controller will no longer be analogue, but shall now be digital.
Toshimasa Aoki, Sony Computer Entertainment’s product planning department manager, has stated on the subject of these new buttons, “We made them as much the same as possible [for the DualShock 4]. I don’t think you would feel a difference”.
This means that there will not be any difference in input whether you press your buttons softly or ram your thumbs through your controller, Aoki has states also that most games didn’t really use that feature.
We’d love to hear your thoughts? Did you ever make the most of the pressure sensitivity, if so will it be missed?
