Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall is one of the most anticipated titles for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC, I have never seen a bigger queue at Eurogamer than the one for Titanfall, and for those of you sticking to the Sony side of the fence and are hoping EA will eventually bring Titanfall to the PlayStation 3/4 may have a long wait on their hands as EA have confirmed that the game is an Xbox/PC exclusive forever…
Speaking with VentureBeat, Blake Jorgensen, chief financial officer of Electronic Arts has confirmed that Titanfall is “exclusive only — through the life of the title — for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC,”. It’s not all bad news though, that doesn’t mean the game won’t ever come to the PlayStation.
Respawn Entertainment co-founder, Vince Zampella, took to Twitter to try and clear up a few things. He mentioned that the game began as a launch exclusive only, but EA had subsequently “made a deal for the rest”. Zampella continued to tweet that the console/PC exclusivity is only for the first Titanfall title meaning that Titanfall 2, or whatever the sequel may be called could in fact come to all consoles.
Titanfall is scheduled for release on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC on March 14, 2014.
