Hello and welcome to the indie fix, where I tell you to stop what you’re doing and go buy a game, a game that may have slipped under your radar. Today I am telling you to go buy The Stanley Parable.
The Stanley Parable is somewhere between a game and narrative art piece, mostly commenting and exploring the ideas of choice and how a player can really affect the world within a game. Along with this I find it explores the effects of situations upon a perceived personality, just take a look at what kind of person you think the narrator is between endings.
This is a game with many endings, certainly worth playing through all of them. it will take you about 20 minutes to complete most of them, and I highly recommend you go buy it.
If I were to say anything more about the game it would be a spoiler, so please just take my word on it, this is something you need to experience. you will likely be laughing almost all the way through, find some terribly sad parts, feel guilty and powerful, and possibly question your own existence (in no less than two of the games endings!). You can pick the game up on steam for ten pounds, now here is a video of the game.
