The LG G Flex has been spotted online for a while now, LG have also confirmed that they’re working on a curved glass smartphone, but no official announcement had been made until now. LG have finally revealed all on their LG G Flex, a horizontally curved display sporting a fairly large 6-inch POLED display.

Unlike Samsung’s Galaxy Round, LG’s G Flex curves on the horizontal axis rather than the vertical axis, a little strange to look at, the LG G Flex is home to a 6-inch Plastic OLED Display with a 1280 x 720 resolution. Taking a look at it’s guts, the LG G Flex houses a 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, Adreno 330 GPU, and 2GB RAM. The G Flex has 32GB internal storage.

LG’s curved smartphone is also home to a 13 megapixel camera, 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, and 3,500 mAh battery. Probably the most interesting feature, aside from the curved screen, is that the G Flex has a “self healing” back cover, which LG claims will ‘recover’ from daily wear and tear in order to keep the phone looking newer for longer.

In terms of availability the LG G Flex will be launching in Korea next month, with LG planning to announce further availability in the coming months.
