Third party headset manufacturer Turtle Beach have announced that the adaptor which is required to use third party headsets on the Xbox One will be delayed until 2014 which means users will be limited to using the bundled headset which will be coming with the Xbox One at launch.
Turtle Beach were one of the first to announce that it’ll be making headsets for Microsoft’s Xbox One but in a recent press release gamers won’t be able to use them until Microsoft release the adapter which they’ve delayed until 2014. “The Xbox One Headset Adapter, being built by Microsoft and provided to Turtle Beach for inclusion with new gaming headsets, will not be available until early 2014,” explained Turtle Beach.
This means that the company’s XO Four and XO Seven, have been pushed back into Q1 2014. Turtle Beach have also confirmed that the adapter will not only be needed for new third party headsets but also backwards compatibility with existing Xbox 360 headsets.
