It’s pretty obvious that one of the biggest titles to come out this year that doesn’t involve guns, is Pokémon X and Y for the 3DS. Set to be the first 3D Pokémon video game as well as featuring the return of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, and the all new Mega Evolutions, this game is going to be big.
According to the Media Crate pre-orders in Japan have exceeded 1.26 million which makes the titles the highest pre-ordered 3DS games in Japan, ever. These figures almost beat Pokémon Diamond and Pearl that were the best-selling games in the series back in 2006, moving 1.58 million copies during the first week so it’ll be interesting to see how well X and Y does during the first week of sales.
Pokémon X and Y are launching for the 3DS on October 12 along side Nintendo’s new 2DS console which allows players to play 3DS games without the 3D feature.
