Available now on the PlayStation Network, Japan Studios ghostly puzzler Rain celebrates it’s launch with a new trailer. This beautifully designed puzzler is one of the reasons why I want to get a PlayStation 3.
The game has a fairly simple concept that takes an adventure game role. The player takes control of a young ghostly boy who can only be seen when standing in the pouring rain. Rain adds some interesting gameplay mechanics based purely on the environment because when you’re out of the rain there’s zero indication as to where you are, only when you knock over bottles, move items as you walk along, or leave wet footprints, will you know where the boy is.
The game itself includes puzzles to solve, other ghostly monsters to avoid, and the task of following and rescuing a ghostly girl who’s being chased by some dog-like figures.
Rain is available now on the PlayStation Network for £5.99.
