Strider Hiryu’s first appearance in a video game was way back in 1989 but in early 2014, 15 years since his arcade debut, the futuristic ninja will return in updated HD remake.
The side-scrolling platform game is being jointly developed by California based Double Helix Games and Capcom’s Osaka Studio.
The latest trailer features Hiryu moving at breakneck speed and slicing through enemies with his signature ‘Plasma Cypher’.
As well as the powerful weapon, Hiryu can also call on assistance from his robot allies.
Strider (2014) will be available as a digital PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. If you’re attending NYCC this year, you’ll also get the chance to be able to play Strider, so keep on the look out.
