Publisher Telltale Games and writer Robert Kirkman have announced that The Walking Dead: Season Two – A Telltale Games Series is now available for pre-order on PC and Mac.
Kirkman, who is the creator of the hugely popular Walking Dead franchise, and Telltale Games come together once more to release more episodes to the gaming series that was met with huge acclaim.
Telltale Game’s The Walking Dead: Season Two will continue the story set out in the first season of the game and players will continue the story of Clementine, the orphaned girl who must seek safety and avoid danger in the zombie apocalypse.
Apparently players will now take control of Clementine, who was previously a non-playable character, which will allegedly provide the player with new challenges, as they attempt to keep one step ahead of the undead horde, whilst controlling an ordinary child.
In a press release Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games, Dan Connors, said:
“The terrifying nature of Robert Kirkman’s world has allowed Telltale to push the boundaries of interactive drama in video games to a place that has had fans anxious to know what will happen next in this series.
“Today we can finally lift the veil, albeit only a little, on how this story will continue, and we’ll soon be putting players in the shoes of a lead role that will challenge their expectations of how to survive in a world where no one can be trusted.”
The game will be released before the end of the year and will apparently consist of five episodes, which will take the Season into 2014, and will stick to the same format as the first season in being available through a digital download.
Currently pre-orders are only being taken for PC and Mac users, but the game will also be released on all home consoles and iOS later this year.
Those that do choose to pre-order the series pass on their desktop will receive a 10% discount, meaning they will receive all five episodes for around $22 (£14).
