Gamers who have bought Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag will of received the Uplay Passport code, like in games gone by this opens up the multiplayer side of the game but in this years much anticipated release, Edward Kenway needs a passport too. Like the Assassin Recruit Missions that have featured in previous titles, you can select a location and mission to send your trusted recruits to help the locals or assassinate an enemy, In Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Edward can now attack enemy ships and take them as his own and add them to his fleet.
Once you have your fleet you can send away your ships, just like you would have Assassin’s in previous titles to return with money and rewards. It’s here where you have a problem, players can get help from their friends to make the mission go faster, making your ships come home quicker, making you money faster. Win. Now, because you can get help from your online friends this makes a single player mission technically a multiplayer.
This feature is a bit of a hindrance to people who may purchase the game second hand as you would more than likely not get a Uplay Passport code in your second hand game. It can be purchased within the game though for a small price.
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag was released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 earlier this week (29th) and is set to arrive on PC, Wii U, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in the near future. There is also a review of the game coming soon from yours truly so keep checking back for its arrival!
