Half-Life 3 confirmed? Almost, maybe, we don’t actually know. What we do know is that Valve has registered the Half-Life 3 trademark in Europe. Clutching at straws? Maybe. But it’s a lot more definitive than the Half-Life 3 confirmation we had earlier in the year.
If you’re looking for more definitive proof head over to the Trade Marks and Designs Registration Office of the European Union and search for Half-Life 3! It’s pretty weird that Valve haven’t registered the trademark in the United States but at least it’s something.
In more details Valve filed for the trademark three days ago which covers “Computer game software; Electronic game software; Downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices; Video game software,” and “Provision of on-line entertainment; provision of computer and video games and computer and video game programs from a computer database or via the Internet.”
Recently Valve announced the Steam OS, Steam Machine, and Steam Controller, something they’ve been keeping quiet for a while now. Perhaps Valve have opened the floodgates on everything they’ve been keeping secret for a while. We can only hope!
