Okay, well maybe not right NOW, but soon.

Following recent news that Bungie was releasing beta codes for their next AAA title, Destiny, for those that pre-ordered the game, the big-time developer snuck into the social media-sphere with news that they would be releasing beta codes for those who did  not pre-order the game yet.

These beta ‘drops’ have been drumming up plenty of interest for the 2014 title, especially because in a recent interview with GameSpot, Bungie community manager Eric Osborne confessed that Bungie would be doing something different with their beta’s this time around.

“The Destiny beta, in many ways, is being treated like a full product launch,” going on to say, “We can’t just carve out three competitive multiplayer maps this time around…” “Destiny demands more.” (Source: GameSpot)

This is hopefully good news for players because with the recent rash of online gameplay launch issues (SimCity, Final Fantasy XIV and most recently GTAV Online) the massive, ever-changing world in Destiny definitely has the potential for problems. Hopefully, through this beta, Bungie can get the proper stress tests going and make sure that there won’t be any issues come launch day.

For now though if you manage to snag a beta code, (which will work on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One) you can head here to get registered.

Think these beta code ‘drops’ are a good move by Bungie? Let us know in the comments below!
