Nexus 5 Long

Well this headline looks familiar..

On Thursday Google finally unveiled their Google Nexus 5 their next flagship device which runs the latest version of Android, 4.4/Kit Kat. Google didn’t make that much of a song and dance about it, though the hype was there thanks to torrents of leaks and rumours surrounding the device. It looks like it doesn’t matter anyway as the device sold out within minutes.

As soon as 6:00pm struck on October 31st Google both unveiled and subsequently launched the Nexus 5 onto the Play Store. At first the delivery of the device was expected within 1-2 business days, a few minutes later, upto a week, and even two to three weeks. Here in the UK the device is still on sale, but those in the US are being advised to check back later.

The launch of the Nexus 4 went pretty much the same way with LG’s first Nexus device flying off of Google Play’s virtual shelves though Google put that down to stock problems..

Sadly, I have to wait until January to get mine what with Christmas around the corner, the new Call of Duty game, and the Xbox One..
