Metal Gear Rising: Revengance

Konami has announced that they’ve slashed the price of their Raiden focused hack and slash game Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance as well as making all of the DLC for the game available absolutely free.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was a real surprise for me. I’m not too familiar with the Metal Gear series and I’m not a huge fan of hack and slash games, but MGR:R pulled it out of the bag, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I got a few good laughs out of it too. You can read my review here.

Konami has cut the price of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance down to $29.99 in the US on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, there’s also no word on the PC version of the game, though the production is going well – apparently. At the same time the Jetstream Sam and Blade Wolf DLC have been made available to anyone with the game, absolutely free.

I’ve heard mixed reviews on Revengeance, what did you think? Let us know in the comments below!

Fantastic news, as a fan of the series I’m quite surprised to see the DLC going free, something a number of developers are afraid to do these days especially not exactly that far into a title’s lifetime.

I’ll surely be paying a visit to the PlayStation Store this week!
