In the 1980’s, detective series’ were the pinnacle of weekend entertainment. Following the highly clever exploits of dirty mac wearing Columbo, waiting up late for Dempsey and Makepeace to come on or sitting in your Gran’s on a Saturday afternoon trying to figure out why Jessica Fletcher always managed to escape prison, as she seemed to appear at murder scenes all over the USA, despite being an author and not a member of the constabulary.

Or, if you’re a lot younger, you’ll have no idea what I’m talking about, so go and watch your banal, socialite led programming and I’ll preach to the older generations.

Dodgy author Jessica Fletcher returns for more murder mystery in Return to Cabot Cove, a series of three adventures with puzzles to solve, hidden item scenes and point and click action. I’m not sure how much action is involved in a Murder, She Wrote game, but I’m now determined to find out. Being a fan of Big Fish games, as they’re great to play with a partner, this looks to be one of the more interesting and picturesque titles in the genre.

Offering 6 hours of gameplay, over 80 puzzles and featuring one of the most infuriatingly misplaced detectives of all time, Murder, She Wrote 2: Return to Cabot Cove will give the most hardened gamers a run for their money. At least at using your brains instead of trigger fingers for once. Expect less than grizzly deaths, the dulcet tones of the lovable harridan herself floating from your speakers and a story that sees Fletcher wriggle her way out of justice yet again.

Check out the fast paced stylish gameplay in the video above for a closer look at some of the puzzles involved and just how scary Angela Lansbury looks with virtual botox.

You can pick the game up from app stores and Big Fish Games on iPad, PC, Mac, iOS and Android, now! For more information on Murder, She Wrote 2: Return to Cabot Cove, head over to Big Fish Games HERE.
