According to November’s NPD report, Nintendo’s popular 3DS console has surpassed the 10 million mark in sales for the console thanked in part by Pokémon X and Y and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
Nintendo reported 3DS sales of 770,000 units in the month of November bringing the consoles lifetime sales past 10.5 million, and that’s just for North America. Helping the console boost it’s sales Pokemon X and Y both digitally and physically each sold more than 225,000 copies of the game with both digital and physical copies of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds selling more than 280,000 copes.
These absolutely impressive numbers can’t be repeated for the Wii U, though Nintendo are reporting that sales are up 340 percent month-over-month. Hopefully 2014 will be a better year for Nintendo’s home console with the anticipated release of Mario Kart 8 and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.
